(SACRAMENTO) - Assemblymember Freddie Rodriguez (D-Pomona) has been named a member of the following committees today by Speaker Anthony Rendon:
- Committee on Communications and Conveyance
- Committee on Health
- Committee on Jobs, Economic Development, and the Economy
- Vice-Chair of the Joint Legislative Committee on Emergency Management
Rodriguez issued the following statement: “I am excited and ready to begin the important work of committees in the state Capitol. All of these appointments represent the issues I have remained committed to since being elected to serve the people of the 52nd Assembly District. I look forward to expanding this work to further the advancement of stronger public safety measures, healthier communities, safer roads, and a more economically vibrant California. I thank Speaker Rendon for his continued trust in my efforts.”
Assemblymember Rodriguez was named as Chair of the Assembly Committee on Public Employees, Retirement and Social Security in December 2016. He will oversee classified school employees, public employee collective bargaining, and public retirement administration and investment strategy of CalPERS and Clasts.
Assemblymember Rodriguez (Twitter) represents the 52nd Assembly District which includes the cities of Chino, Montclair, Ontario, Pomona and portions of unincorporated Fontana. He is Chair of The Assembly Committee on Public Employees, Retirement, and Social Security.
