Expanding Affordable Housing in California
(Sacramento) – Assemblymember Miguel Santiago (D-Los Angeles) joined other legislators and labor leaders at a news conference to show their support for legislation designed to ease California’s affordable housing crisis. “When you take a look at the housing crisis here in California it affects just about everyone,” said Assemblymember Santiago. One of the pieces needed to fix our affordable housing shortage is Assembly Bill 72, authored by Assemblymember Santiago. AB 72 appropriates one-time funds to the Office of the Attorney General, from California’s General Fund, to assist in the enforcement of existing laws in order to support the development of new housing.
