Assemblymember Rodriguez Advances Legislation to Require Reporting on Arrests for Possession of Ghost Guns in California

(Sacramento, CA) – Today, Assembly Bill (AB) 97, authored by Assemblymember Freddie Rodriguez (D – Pomona), passed the Senate Committee on Public Safety with unanimous support. This legislation would require the California Department of Justice (DOJ) to include information on arrests for possessing an unserialized firearm, or ‘ghost gun,’ in their annual reporting. 

Legislation Clarifying Media Access to Closed Disaster Areas Clears the Senate Public Safety Committee

(Sacramento, CA) – This morning, Assembly Bill (AB) 750, authored by Assemblymember Freddie Rodriguez (D – Pomona), unanimously passed the Senate Committee on Public Safety and is now headed to the Senate Floor. This legislation would clarify that members of the press are not authorized to transport a civilian into a disaster zone that has been closed by law enforcement.

Legislation Reaffirming the Intent to Appropriate Funds for the Seismic Retrofitting Program for Soft Story Multifamily Housing Advances to the Senate
