Assemblymember Rodriguez Assigned To Key Legislative Committees

SACRAMENTO- Assemblymember Freddie Rodriguez (D-Pomona) announced today that Assembly Speaker John A. Pérez (D-Los Angeles) has appointed him to serve on several influential legislative committees.   Assemblymember Rodriguez was appointed to serve as Chair of the Select Committee on Local Emergency Preparedness and as the Vice Chair of the Joint Legislative Committee on Emergency Management.

Rodriguez will also serve as a member of the committees on Banking and Finance, Budget Subcommittee #5 on Public Safety, Elections and Redistricting as well as the Water, Parks and Wildlife committee.

Rodriguez Hosts Holiday Turkey Drive

In the spirit of Thanksgiving, Freddie Rodriguez hosted a Thanksgiving turkey giveaway in Chino on Tuesday, November 26th. Over 100 meals including turkeys, potatoes, corn, bread and cookies were distributed to organizations benefiting needy families throughout the 52nd Assembly District. The turkeys were generously donated by the Fontana Water Company and additional food items were donated by Superior Foods.

“I am honored to be able to help local charitable organizations and families in need put a warm meal on their tables during this holiday season,” said Rodriguez. “I am thankful to everyone who helped to make this event a success by donating their time and resources to a worthy cause. Too many families are struggling and it is important that we come together as a community to help our neighbors.”

Rodriguez Celebrates Election Victory

Assemblymember Freddie Rodriguez was sworn in during a community ceremony on Saturday, November 23rd, at his District Office in Chino.  State Senator Norma Torres administered the oath of office to Rodriguez in front of a crowd of several hundred family members, friends, supporters, constituents and local elected officials.

Rodriguez is grateful for the strong showing of community support and said he is looking forward to representing the 52nd Assembly District, which includes the cities of Chino, Montclair, Ontario, Pomona and portions of unincorporated Fontana.  He stressed that his top priorities will be to improve access to health care, encourage job creation both locally and throughout California as well as a commitment to preserving public safety.

Rodriguez Takes Oath as Assemblymember for the 52nd District

(Sacramento, CA) – Freddie Rodriguez (D-Pomona) was sworn in today as the newest member of the State Legislature, representing Assembly District 52, which includes the cities of Chino, Montclair, Ontario, Pomona, and unincorporated portions of Fontana.

“I am honored to represent my lifelong home in the State Assembly,” said Rodriguez. “My first priority is and always will be job creation locally and statewide.  I look forward to serving residents of my community and encourage them to contact me with any legislative questions or concerns.”
