This year’s Rise and Bloom Women’s Luncheon was a powerful reminder of what we can accomplish when we come together as a community. The room was filled with community organizations who walk alongside survivors, dedicated public safety partners who work tirelessly to protect and serve, and most importantly, survivors whose courage and resilience inspired everyone in attendance. The afternoon was filled with hope and a renewed commitment to creating a safer, more supportive future for all.

Celebrating the Ontario Tower Buzzers
Celebrating the Ontario Tower Buzzers

The launch of the Los Angeles Dodgers’ new Single-A team in Ontario, the Ontario Tower Buzzers, was a wonderful celebration for our community. It was a joy to see so many familiar faces and to meet Dodgers legends like Jaime Jarrín, whose voice inspired me growing up. The new ballpark is scheduled to open in February 2026, and I look forward to joining our community in the stands next season to cheer on our newest hometown team.

The Metro A Line Extension to Pomona has officially opened, creating new opportunities for our communities to stay connected. With four new stations in Glendora, San Dimas, La Verne, and North Pomona, this 9.1-mile stretch will make it easier for families, workers, and neighbors to come together and move throughout our region. I am deeply grateful to Metro and everyone who worked to bring this project to life for our community.

Legislative Updates

Governor Newsom has signed 6 of my bills into law so far. You will find below a couple of the bills that were already signed into law, along with a short summary. If you are interested in submitting an idea for a bill, please do not hesitate to reach out to my office. We are always eager to hear ideas from the community. Assembly Bill 463 – Protecting Public Safety Canines

AB 463 ensures that our public safety canines are protected under the law when they are injured or harmed in the line of duty. These K-9 officers play a vital role in keeping our communities safe, and this new law recognizes their service and sacrifices alongside their human partners.

Assembly Bill 354 – Supporting Law Enforcement Training

AB 354 gives the Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) Commission access to important law enforcement data without requiring a subpoena. This change streamlines the process, allowing POST to better support law enforcement officers and enhance training standards that keep our communities safe.

Assembly Bill 369 – Improving Emergency Care for Seizure Disorders

AB 369 removes barriers to administering anti-seizure medication during emergencies. This lifesaving law ensures that individuals experiencing a seizure can receive faster treatment, leading to better outcomes and peace of mind for families across California.
