Assemblymember Rodriguez Strongly Opposes Chino Valley Unified School Board’s Proposed Policy 5020.1 on Parental Notification

The Chino Valley Unified School District Board has proposed Policy 5020.1, which would require that school staff notify a student’s parent/guardian when staff becomes aware that the student identifies as transgender or nonbinary. Assemblymember Freddie Rodriguez (D - Pomona) and Senator Susan Rubio (D - Baldwin Park) strongly oppose this proposal and have responded with the following letter.
