Assemblymember Freddie Rodriguez was sworn in during a community ceremony on Saturday, November 23rd, at his District Office in Chino. State Senator Norma Torres administered the oath of office to Rodriguez in front of a crowd of several hundred family members, friends, supporters, constituents and local elected officials.
Rodriguez is grateful for the strong showing of community support and said he is looking forward to representing the 52nd Assembly District, which includes the cities of Chino, Montclair, Ontario, Pomona and portions of unincorporated Fontana. He stressed that his top priorities will be to improve access to health care, encourage job creation both locally and throughout California as well as a commitment to preserving public safety.
During the event, Rodriguez introduced his district staff and urged his constituents to contact him with their ideas.
“I want to hear from you,” said Rodriguez. “In order for me to be the best representative for you, I need to hear your thoughts, opinions and concerns. I encourage you to write me a letter, give me a phone call or stop by my office. My door will always be open to you.”
