Rodriguez Statement On Death Of Pomona SWAT Officer Shaun Diamond

For immediate release:

Assemblymember Freddie Rodriguez released the following statement on the death of Pomona Police SWAT Officer Shaun Diamond:

"I am deeply saddened by the passing of Pomona Police Officer Shaun Diamond.  I worked closely with Shaun for many years when I was on the board of the Downtown Pomona Owner’s Association and he was the officer assigned to the board and the downtown Pomona area. Officer Diamond was a dedicated public servant and his loss will be profoundly felt throughout the community. This terrible tragedy is a reminder of the dangers our police officers face every day on the job in efforts to bravely protect our families, friends and neighbors. My thoughts and prayers are with Officer Diamond’s family, friends and the entire Pomona Police Department."

The Pomona Police Officers' Association will be accepting donations on behalf of Officer Shaun Diamond's family.

Any donations for the family can be made out to the Pomona POA. If paying by check just put Shaun's name in memo line. If cash or gift card please leave a short note who it's coming from.

The Pomona Police Officers' Association will ensure that the family receives all donations.
