(SACRAMENTO)- Assemblymember Freddie Rodriguez (D-Pomona) released the following statement celebrating the grand opening of the QVC West Coast Distribution Center in Ontario. The facility is expected to bring 1,000 jobs to the city by 2020.
“I am thrilled to welcome QVC to Ontario! The Inland Empire is a great place to do business and we have a thriving workforce ready and willing to fill the jobs QVC is bringing to our community.
I want to commend the work done by QVC, the City of Ontario, San Bernardino County and the Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development that helped bring the distribution center to Ontario. This is a perfect example of how state and local government can work together to boost our regional economy and bring good paying jobs to our residents. I look forward to a long partnership with QVC.”
Assemblymember Rodriguez represents the 52nd Assembly District which includes the cities of Chino, Montclair, Ontario, Pomona and portions of unincorporated Fontana.
