Officer Shaun Diamond Memorial Highway Dedication

For immediate release:

(POMONA) – On Saturday, October 29, Assemblymember Freddie Rodriguez will commemorate the two-year anniversary of Officer Shaun Diamond’s passing by officially dedicating a portion of Interstate 10 in his honor.

Assembly Concurrent Resolution 104, authored by Assemblymember Freddie Rodriguez (D-Pomona) was unanimously approved by the State Assembly earlier this year. The measure declares I-10 from the SR-57 interchange to the North Towne Avenue exit as the “Pomona Police Officer Shaun Diamond Memorial Highway.”

“Officer Shaun Diamond was an invaluable member of the Pomona Police Department,” said Rodriguez. “The sacrifice he made to serve and protect our community will never be forgotten. I am proud to have the opportunity to pay tribute his legacy.”

“Officer Diamond’s presence is still sorely missed,” said Corporal Brad Paulson, Pomona Police Department. “We thank Assemblymember Rodriguez for helping to create this lasting commemoration of his bravery and service.”

Assemblymember Rodriguez urges the public to join him, the Pomona Police Department and the Diamond family to pay tribute to Shaun’s service.
