(SACRAMENTO)- The holiday season was in full swing as Assemblymember Freddie Rodriguez (D-Pomona) hosted his 4th Annual Thanksgiving Turkey Drive at his district office in Chino today. Rodriguez partnered with Fontana Water Company and Food 4 Less to donate Turkeys and fixings for a Thanksgiving meal to families in the 52nd Assembly District.
“The holiday season should be about enjoying time with loved ones, but too many families worry about how they are going to put food on the table,” said Rodriguez. “I am proud to be working with our wonderful community partners to help make the holidays a little brighter for the residents of our district.”
In addition to local families, turkeys were also donated to organizations that serve communities in need throughout the district including East Valley Community Health Center, Isaiah’s Rock, Clearview Church, Kennedy Austin Foundation, Mercy House, Pomona Economic Opportunity Center, Smile and Tears Children and Family Services, Chino Neighborhood House, Pomona Valley Christian Center and The Junior Foundation.
