Assemblymember Rodriguez Sworn into Third Term in the State Assembly

(SACRAMENTO)- Assemblymember Freddie Rodriguez was sworn into his third term in the California State Assembly this afternoon at a ceremony in the State Capitol. Several hundred people were in attendance, including the Lieutenant Governor Gavin Newsom, Secretary of State Alex Padilla, and the other newly elected members of the State Assembly. Rodriquez was joined by this family and friends for the ceremony.

Rodriguez stressed that his top priories for the upcoming legislative session will be the health and safety of people in the 52nd Assembly District, transportation issues on major highways including the widening of the 71 HWY and the extension of the Gold Line, and how public safety agencies can be better supported to do their jobs. Assemblymember Rodriguez has worked hard to bring sensible legislation that protects families and better equips emergency responders and law enforcement with the tools they need to serve communities.

Assemblymember Rodriguez is Chair of the Assembly Select Committee on Local Emergency Preparedness, and Chair of the Joint Legislative Committee on Emergency Management.  He represents the 52nd Assembly District which includes the cities of Chino, Montclair, Ontario, Pomona and portions of unincorporated Fontana.
