Assemblyman Freddie Rodriguez Responds to Rescinding of DACA Program by Trump Administration

For immediate release:

(SACRAMENTO)-  Assemblymember Freddie Rodriguez (D-Pomona) issued the following statement after the Trump Administration rescinded the memorandum creating the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program:

“President Trump and his Administration took cowardly action today by denying thousands of our nations young minds a promising future. Make no mistake, my colleagues and I in the Legislature will continue fighting to keep the California Dream alive for all who want to grow, learn, and live in our communities. To students working on building a better future at our universities and schools or families raising their children, we will not turn our backs on you. It is our job to ensure all families and children are safe and free, I urge Congress to act and support Dreamers and their families.”
