(Ontario, CA) – Today, Assemblymember Freddie Rodriguez (D – Pomona) hosted his 10th Annual Thanksgiving Turkey Drive. With the help of generous partners who donated turkeys, Team Rodriguez was able to distribute 650 turkeys and 400+ meals to families across the 52nd Assembly District to give back ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday.

“As we are facing economic hardship and uncertainty, it is gratifying to be able to help families in need. The holidays can come with many costs, and I hope to have helped alleviate some of those costs that come with Thanksgiving dinner through this Turkey Drive,” stated Assemblymember Rodriguez.

A special thanks to the Community Action Partnership of San Bernardino County and the Fontana Water Company for their partnership leading up to today’s Turkey Drive. This event would not be as successful without the generosity of organizations like these that genuinely want to make a difference.

To continue giving back this holiday season, Assemblymember Rodriguez will host a Holiday Open House and Toy Drive on December 3rd from 11 am – 1 pm at the District Office. This event is a great opportunity to make a child’s holiday special by donating a new, unwrapped gift. Staff will also be available to provide updates on new state laws or changes in the District.

“After ten years, this turkey drive has become one of my favorite events to host annually as we can connect as a community and make the holidays a bit less stressful for our residents. My family and I wish everyone a wonderful Thanksgiving,” added Assemblymember Rodriguez.

Assemblymember Rodriguez (Twitter) represents the 53rd Assembly District which includes the cities of Chino, Montclair, Ontario, Pomona, and Upland. He is Chair of the Assembly Committee on Emergency Management.
