(Sacramento, CA) – Today, Assemblymember Freddie Rodriguez (D – Pomona) hosted a Community Swearing-In Ceremony to celebrate the start of his final term in the State Assembly. Assemblymember Rodriguez was surrounded by his wife, Michelle, their four children, three grandchildren, and many extended family members. He was also joined by countless friends and community members who made this event special.

“I want to thank everyone who came to celebrate at my Community Swearing-In with my family and me. When I reflect on these past ten years in the Assembly, I know I could not have made it this far without the support of my community. Coming together to celebrate what we have accomplished so far only made me more excited for what is still to come,” stated Assemblymember Rodriguez.

This event provided the community with time to celebrate all the Assemblymember has accomplished and the plethora of funds and resources he has brought back to the district. Friends and colleagues who have impacted Assemblymember Rodriguez throughout his career came to support him. Speaker Emeritus John A. Pérez administered the Oath of Office, which was a full circle moment for all as he administered the Assemblymember’s first oath back in 2013.

Assemblymember Rodriguez’s former ambulance partner, Eddie Lozano, shared stories from their many years of friendship and service. Other speakers included Assemblymember James Ramos, Pomona Police Chief Mike Ellis, and Nona Tirre, a longtime friend of the Rodriguez family.

Assemblymember Rodriguez (Twitter) represents the 53rd Assembly District which includes the cities of Chino, Montclair, Ontario, Pomona, and Upland. He is Chair of the Assembly Committee on Emergency Management.
