(Sacramento) – California State Assemblymember Freddie Rodriguez (D-Pomona) authored Assembly Bill 162 which if enacted, would require the California Department of Transportation (DOT) to study wrong way traffic accidents and how to better prevent them. About half of all wrong way accidents are fatal or involve incapacitating injuries. Assemblymember Rodriguez knows the statistics all too well. He responded to many of these deadly crashes during his 30 year career as an emergency medical technician. AB 162 is very timely in Sacramento where a wrong-way accident killed four people on Highway 50. KCRA 3 News covered the story. Learn more in this Assembly Assets Video.
