(Sacramento) – As part of a week-long celebration honoring emergency medical responders, Assemblymember Freddie Rodriguez (D-Chino) introduced Assembly Concurrent Resolution 171. ACR 171 establishes the week of May 15th through May 21st as Emergency Medical Services Week in California and coincides with the 42nd Anniversary of National Emergency Medical Services Week, which began in 1974 to draw attention to the sacrifice, dedication and commitment of emergency medical personnel. “Thirty years ago I became an Emergency Medical Technician because I wanted to help people when they needed it the most,” said Assemblymember Rodriguez. “The men and women I have worked alongside are some of the most dedicated and heroic people I have known.” Here’s more in this Assembly Access video.
