(Sacramento) – Led by Assemblymember Freddie Rodriguez (D-Pomona), the State Assembly approved Assembly Concurrent Resolution 87, declaring the week of May 21st to the 27th as Emergency Medical Services Week in California. EMS Week is a national campaign dedicated to professionals who provide life-saving care to others in their time of need. “California is home to over 80,000 career and volunteer emergency medical service personnel who treat over 2 million Californians a year,” said Assemblymember Rodriguez. “As many of you know, I have been an Emergency Medical technician for over 30 years and can attest to the true professionalism and passion these individuals bring to their work.”
