(Pomona, CA) – Assemblymember Freddie Rodriguez (D - Pomona) joined Pomona city leaders and police officers in unveiling a new local initiative to address the issue of homelessness. The Pomona Officers Assisting the Homeless (O.A.T.H.) was made possible by funding secured by Assemblymember Rodriguez in the 2018-19 State Budget. “This is a big win for Pomona,” Rodriguez said. “Pomona will receive $4 million reserved to help the police department hire new police officers and mental health professionals to work directly with our homeless population.” Learn more about the Pomona O.A.T.H. initiative in this Assembly Access video
