(Chino, CA) – To honor the outstanding residents of the 52nd District, Assemblymember Freddie Rodriguez (D - Chino) held his annual summer BBQ for the entire community. Awards are distributed at the event and honorees for Veterans, Small Business and Woman of the Year are recognized for their contributions to the District. “This award actually means a lot to me because I come from a single [parent] household where I am a first-generation college student,” scholarship recipient Kristen Cohen said at the event. “So, being able to be awarded something that helps me further my education and further my plans for the future means the world to me.” See more from this community event in this Assembly Access video:
